Twelve teams are going to take part in the ICC T20 World Cup 2009.
ICC World T20 2009 Team Australia comprises 15 members. They are Ricky Ponting (Captain), Michael Clarke (Vice Captain), Nathan Bracken, Brad Haddin, Nathan Hauritz, Ben Hilfenhaus, James Hopes, David Hussey, Michael Hussey, Mitchell Johnson, Brett Lee, Peter Siddle, Andrew Symonds, David Warner and Shane Watson.

In the ICC World T20 2007, Team Bangladesh performed well surprisingly and went through to the second stage. The ICC World T20 2009, Team Bangladesh comprises 15 members. They are Younis Khan (Captain), Ahmed Shehzad, Fawad Alam, Iftikhar Anjum, Kamran Akmal (Wicketkeeper), Misbah-ul-Haq, Mohammad Aamer, Saeed Ajmal, Salman Butt, Shahid Afridi, Shahzaib Hasan, Shoaib Malik, Sohail Tanvir, Umar Gul, Yasir Arafat.
ICC World T20 2009 Team Scotland comprises 15 members. Gavin Hamilton is the captain of the team and Colin Smith is the wicketkeeper. The remaining 13 members of the team are Richie Berrington, John Blain, Kyle Coetzer, Gordon Drummond, Majid Haq, Neil McCallum, Dewald Nel, Navdeep Poonia, Glenn Rogers, Jan Stander, Ryan Watson, Fraser Watts and Craig Wright.
ICC World T20 2009 Team South Africa comprises 15 members. The captain of the team is Graeme Smith and Johan Botha is the vice-captain. Mark Boucher is the wicketkeeper. ICC World T20 2009 Team Sri Lanka comprises 15 members. Kumar Sangakkara is the captain of the Sri Lanka team and Indika de Saram is the wicketkeeper. ICC World T20 2009 Team West Indies comprises 15 members. Chris Gayle is the team's captain and Denesh Ramdin is the vice-captain and wicketkeeper. The other members of the team include Lionel Baker, Sulieman Benn, David Bernard, Dwayne Bravo, Shivnarine Chanderpaul, Fidel Edwards, Andre Fletcher, Xavier Marshall, Kieron Pollard, Darren Sammy, Ramnaresh Sarwan, Lendl Simmons and Jerome Taylor.
